How to Enable Klarna Payments in Your Stripe Account

MeetingHand integrates directly with Stripe, allowing event planners to easily accept online payments from their attendees. With our latest update, you can now enable Klarna as a payment option through your Stripe account — giving your attendees more flexibility to pay later or in installments.

Follow the steps below to activate Klarna in your Stripe account and start using it in your MeetingHand events.

Step 1: Log in to Your Stripe Dashboard

1. Go to https://dashboard.stripe.com
2. Log in with the same Stripe account you’ve connected to your MeetingHand event.

Step 2: Go to Payment Method Settings

In your Stripe Dashboard, navigate to:

1. Settings → Payments → Payment methods.
2. Scroll down to the Buy now, pay later section.
3. Find Klarna in the list.

Step 3: Activate Klarna

1. Click Turn on or Activate next to Klarna.
2. Review and agree to Klarna’s terms of service if prompted.
3. Once activated, Klarna will appear as an available payment method in your Stripe account.

Step 4: Verify Supported Currencies and Regions

• Klarna is supported in specific countries and currencies.
• Make sure your event’s currency in MeetingHand matches one of Klarna’s supported currencies.

Step 5: Enable Klarna in Your MeetingHand Event

Once Klarna is active in your Stripe account:

1. Go to your MeetingHand Dashboard.
2. Open your event’s Payment Settings.
3. Make sure your Stripe account is connected.

4. Klarna will automatically appear as an available payment option for your attendees.

   

Step 6: Test the Payment

Before going live:

• Create a test registration in your event.
• Select Klarna as the payment method to confirm everything is working correctly.

Notes & Tips

• Klarna allows your attendees to pay later or in installments, depending on their region.
• You’ll receive the full payment from Stripe immediately, while Klarna manages the attendee’s payment schedule.
• Transaction fees for Klarna may differ from standard card payments — check your Stripe Dashboard for details.
